There are various over the counter treatments for blackheads. However, they are loaded with chemicals that might be harmful to your skin in the long run.

Egg face mask
Eggs will remove blackheads and tighten the open pores as well.
It acts as a great anti-aging agent and leaves your skin nourished. It also leaves your skin glowing!
For the face mask, beat one egg white with 1 tsp honey.
Apply this mixture thoroughly on the face and let it dry. Rinse off with warm water.
Apply this mask twice a week for blemish free and blackhead free, beautiful face!
Cinnamon and lemon facial mask
Cinnamon improves blood circulation, and lemon acts as an anti-bacterial component.
Mixing these two ingredients will give you the best remedy for blackheads.
Moreover, it leaves your skin glowing and makes it look younger.
Make a paste of 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder with 1 tablespoon of lemon.
Apply on the face, particularly on blackheads. Keep it for 20 minutes and scrub the mask. Wash with warm water.

Pull the cotton strip with force and rinse with cold water. The cotton strip will have all the blackheads.
Exfoliating your skin is important to keep it clean. Sugar acts as a natural scrubber and removes all the dead skin and sebum from the face.
Mix 1 cup sugar with 4 tbsp. of jojoba oil, add some drops of essential fragrance.
Mix it well and store in a sterilized glass jar. You can use this scrub twice a week to exfoliate the skin and remove blackheads.

Steaming is a procedure to open the pores of the skin and remove your blackheads.
Steam helps in removing accumulated sebum from the face and softens the skin as well.
Fill a bowl with boiling water and cover your face with a towel, leaning over the bowl. Use the towel as a tent to stop the steam from getting wasted.
While taking steam, be careful not to burn your skin. Later wash off with cold water and pat dry.
Moisturize your face with a good moisturizing cream. Repeat this process once in a week to have subtle soft skin.
