Spicy 😇 and Yummy 😋 Mutton Fry Recipe | Mutton Roast Recipe

A spicy mutton fry is an intact, and apt side dish to go with rice with mutton curry, or rice and sambar. Here's the recipe for this mouth watering dish.

Materials

  • 700 gms Mutton boneless or with bones
  • 2 Onions Medium sized
  • 2 Tomatoes Medium sized
  • 2½ tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 2½ teaspoons Chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Salt  adjust accordingly.

Instructions

Mutton Fry Recipe

  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pressure cooker pan. Add 2 finely chopped onions.
  • Saute till the onions turn translucent.
  • Add the ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes away.
  • Now add the tomatoes. Add 2 tablespoons salt and mix well.
  • Saute briefly. Once the tomatoes turn slightly mushy, add the chilli powder.
  • Saute till the raw smell goes away and tomatoes turn mushy. Add turmeric powder and mix well.
  • Now add in the mutton pieces and give it a good mix so that the masala coats the meat.
  • Add 1 1/2 cups water. Mix well. Check for salt and add if needed.
  • Close the pressure cooker lid and cook for 5 whisltes.
  • Let the pressure settle. Now open the lid, turn on the stove and cook until all the water is absorbed.
  • Your spicy, yummy mutton fry is ready. Enjoy it with rice and mutton kuzhambu or regular sambar!
